As always, SanDisk has several new storage solutions launching this CES (2025), adding to the company’s extensive product portfolio. This year seems to be a focus on mobility more than anything else, leading to new models for phones, laptops, and more.
One of the company’s new models is the SanDisk Creator Desk Drive, for those looking for large SSD capacities while on the go. Perfect for laptops and computers, the new drive will come in 4TB ($299) or 8TB ($629) options, providing plenty of storage for games, videos, and more. Offering up to 1000MB/s with USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity, it allows fast transfers surpassing HDD and SATA SSD solutions. An exact release date for shipping hasn’t been announced yet by the company, but it is taking pre-orders via its online store.
Another new entry is the SanDisk Extreme PRO Dual Drive, which is another satisfying addition for those looking for something that fits into any pocket. It features a thumb drive design that supports both regular USB (Type-A) and USB-C formats that can be rotated between the two. It too supports speeds of up to 1,000MB/s and will come in three capacities, including 512GB ($99), 1TB ($149), and 2TB ($299). There may also be a 256GB ($59) option, but it isn’t listed just yet. The SanDisk Extreme PRO Dual Drive is set to arrive sometime this Spring, although it isn’t available for pre-order just yet.
The company also has a new SD and microSD solution that will be available at up to 1TB, as well as a number of other storage options, including a few designed around the Fortnite video game. You can find many of these products online already, with other launching before or by Spring 2025.
SanDisk is one of the top sellers of solid-state storage products, dominating retailers like Amazon, so it is no surprise to find a long list of new and exciting products coming this year.
