Sony makes a move to drop the price of PS4 today

0

Microsoft has been ramping up for new bundles including the saucy looking Halo 5 Limited Edition, but Sony has a few tricks up their sleeve for this season as well. Sony announced new pricing for their Playstation 4 bundles, bringing it as low as $349 before the shopping season even takes off. Some of these bundles haven’t been released yet as they aren’t due until November, but you can pre-order now and get a head start. Including the upcoming Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront bundle.

Here is a breakdown of the new pricing:

Bundle (Release Date) Current Price (MSRP) New Price (MSRP) (effective 10/9)
UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 Bundle (10/9) $399.99 USD / $449.99 CAD $349.99 USD / $429.99 CAD
Limited Edition Call of Duty: Black Ops III 1TB PS4 Bundle (11/6) $449.99 USD / $549.99 CAD $429.99 USD / $499.99 CAD
Limited Edition Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars PS4 Bundle (11/13) $449.99 USD / $549.99 CAD $399.99 USD / $469.99 CAD
Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle (11/17) $449.99 USD / $549.99 CAD $399.99 USD / $469.99 CAD
Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle (11/17) $399.99 USD / $449.99 CAD $349.99 USD / $429.99 CAD
NHL 16 PS4 Bundle
(Available now, Canada only)
$449.99 CAD $429.99 CAD

Now maybe Microsoft will respond by lowering the price of their bundles by a bit. Sony may have dropped the price, but Microsoft has the nicer looking custom consoles (design-wise). If Microsoft dropped their price as well, the upper hand would instantly become theirs.
