Fujitsu is working on a new touchscreen technology available as soon as 2015, that allows you to feel what is on the screen by running your fingers across it. They opened up about it recently at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where they demonstrated what it could accomplish. They do this by creating tiny vibrations across the screen to help simulate a texture or action while touching it.
This can obviously be included in many of today’s technologies to increase user experience while interacting with various devices both at home and in the commercial world.
Although the technology hasn’t been perfected yet, they still feel confident that it will be ready within the next year or two.
