SVS debuted its new powered bookshelf speakers (SVS Prime Wireless Pro) at the CES 2023 show this week in Las Vegas. The new audiophile speakers come with a full artillery of inputs and streaming options that users can take full advantage of.
These speakers are designed with a small footprint in mind, for those looking for a neat bookshelf experience with plenty of range and sound with minimal cables running everywhere. In fact, these speakers only require a power connection with a single cable running between them. Everything from there is optional.
Users can wirelessly connect to the speakers through a number of methods, including Bluetooth (5.0) and Wi-Fi. Through these, users can connect to media sources like smartphones or tablets. They support Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and DTS Play-Fi, allowing you to stream whatever source of music you want (ie, Apple, Pandora SiriusXM, Spotify, etc).
In addition to that, it has an HDMI input for use with an ARC-supported TV, as well as an optical input, an analog RCA, and an analog 3.5mm aux input. Again though, all of those connections are optional since it offers so many opportunities to go wireless.
It also has a sub-output in case you need a little more rumble in your audible experience. Especially, when using it with a TV in a living room atmosphere.
We wouldn’t mind giving these a listen in a more comfortable atmosphere ourselves. I know that we had multiple members of our staff on-site for the CES show, but the noise level can get pretty high in there to really develop a detailed opinion of anything. For now, we will just have to wait for that opportunity to happen.
The speakers are currently available in two colors, including black and white, for an MSRP of $899. We added a few buttons here where they can be found online. There is also the chance at catching them at your local Best Buy if your location contains the Magnolia theater experience inside.
