Swagtron, a company with a huge lineup of electronic bikes, scooters, boards and more, has announced the release of their new Swagger Cali Drift Scooter. A cross between a skateboard and a scooter, this new scooter is said to carve just like a longboard, which should make it a popular item for thrill seekers.
It features a 250-watt rear wheel electric motor that can take the user up to 15.5 mph for up to 9 miles on a single charge, and can take on grades as much as 8 degrees. The handlebar and stem pivots to allows you to take full control of their ride as they cut and carve along the road.
Your speed can be controlled via a lever located at your right thumb position, and you can stop or slow down by either using a lever-activated brake, or your typical rear heel brake.
Targeted for all ages, it may very will be a hit for the younger crowds and adults alike. Perfect for short distance commutes where you can go green and save on gas. It also folds for easy storing and the ability to walk around with it like you would rolling luggage.
Available now, you can get your hands on one for around $399.99. It isn’t the world’s most affordable scooter by any means, but it is sure to be a lot of fun. We haven’t tried one ourselves just yet, but you can be sure that our interests are peaked. Heck, we are still waiting to get some more hands on with their go-cart that we previewed last January during CES.
