T-Mobile is one of the biggest companies out there when it comes to 5G and the bragging rights that come with it. This is because 5G has the capability of boosting your data speeds past 300MB/s and can even make its way up to 1GB/s. That’s pretty fast for a device you carry around everywhere in your pocket. Thanks to the merge of T-Mobile and Sprint, the company has a pretty large stake in the 5G territory and now it finally has a 5G map to visualize it all.
T-Mobile recently launched the interactive map that allows you to peer into your favorite neighborhoods to determine the level of 5G access the company has in the area. It continues to show everything else T-Mobile has to offer as well (4G, 3G, etc). The 5G network gets broken down between 5G Ultra Capacity (your greatest chance for getting close to a gigabit connection) and 5G Extended Range. This way you can determine how desperately you need that fancy new 5G phone you see sitting on display.
If you live in a major city, you’ll likely see something similar to what we ran into. A massive dark-pink layer of coverage that spans across the majority of your city. Showing how dedicated T-Mobile has been to building this network out and giving the other companies something to worry about.
So zoom in and out of your favorite places (home, work, family, friends, etc) to see how 5G could make a difference in your life.
