Sadly, it looks like the rumors that have been going around are true. Tesla is pushing back the production of the Cybertruck until next year (2022). This applies to versions of the model, which means all of those who jumped on the pre-orders will have to wait a little longer.
It may come as sad news for some, but thankfully this will mean they are taking additional time to iron out any last-minute bugs they might run into with the production of the truck. Either that or they wanted to be nice by allowing other companies like Ford a little extra time to catch up.
In the meantime, Tesla’s website is updated with the 2022 production date so anyone putting a deposit down now, will be aware of the wait time that it still faces. It does sound like the company is quite positive about this window though, so like everything else Tesla, it will come to be (eventually).
The company is also rumored to be close to revealing more information on its $25,000 model. At the moment, it appears the prototype is finished. It could possibly be ready for its beta phase toward the end of this year. As of right now, the more affordable model will be manufactured in China
