Those hoping to get their hands on a shiny new Tesla may have to wait longer than expected as some pre-orders are beginning to extend far into 2023. Various setbacks have caused multiple delays that have caused production issues and you can see this simply by visiting Tesla’s website and customizing one of the vehicles.
The setbacks seem to be affecting all models but mostly the long-range more than anything else. Especially the Model X which is delayed as far back as September 2023 (some self-discipline is well-needed for that wait).

Customers can improve the date by selecting certain features like certain wheels, seat configurations, and sometimes even paint options. Sometimes choosing FSD (Full Self Drive) can help, but it doesn’t seem to be having an effect this time around.
As supply-chain issues continue to cause trouble worldwide, the effects can be felt everywhere. I, myself, have an order in for one of the models and will be waiting toward the end of the year before I see it Thankfully, this could change at any time as conditions improve. Assuming they do, of course. As it could always lean the other way as well. Nothing wrong with keeping positive.

We canceled our order after three months. I couldn’t take it anymore this gave me way too big of a window to change my mind and chicken out. Guess I’ll wait for something I can walk away with right then and there. Plus they cut everything out. No more including the mobile charger. No more charging perks. No more premium for free or at least a year of it. They took it all, upped the prices, and make everyone wait favoring those who pay more. I guess you have to honor the rich before the comfortable or not so rich at all. Doesn’t matter how long someone has been waiting for. Meanwhile these expensive orders suddenly get theirs in weeks (yes, I’ve been following it all online).
