Gaming while on the go might get a bit more impressive with some new releases coming from MSI. The company has announced the release of two new MSI Claw models, one 7-inches and the other 8-inches. Making for a larger viewing space and they both come with some well-needed upgrades.
The new MSI Claw AI+ (Series 2) models feature a 120Hz refresh display that is either 1080p (7-inch model – $799) or 1200p (8-inch model – $899). Both feature more RAM (32GB LPDDR5) and a shiny new Intel Core Ultra 7-258V processor, and function as a Copilot+ PC.
Thanks to the new Intel processor inside, this alone gives the new models a noticeable boost when it comes to resources. Paired with the increased RAM, they should prove to be a powerhouse for all of your favorite modern games.
Both models offer their fair share of differences, giving you possibly just enough of a reason to upgrade to the larger of the two. Including a better screen, more modern Wi-Fi support (Wi-Fi 7 vs 6E), and a bigger battery. The larger model also comes with a new color, sporting a “Sandstorm” design vs the normal black.
If you were hoping the MSI Claw had a little more, this would be the company responding. Already, through software updates, MSI has been focusing on the quality and performance of its current models. Now, it takes things further with better hardware, allowing it to (hopefully) keep up with modern titles. So if you are looking for a powerful handheld for all of your streaming needs, this may just hit the needle on the head.
Both models are available from MSI and should be making their way to retailers shortly. At the time of writing this, Best Buy shows both of them as being out of stock, so the trucks likely haven’t made it to their destinations just yet. But, hopefully, it has launched them with just enough time for the holidays. Again, the 7-inch model features an MSRP of $799, while the 8-inch model features an MSRP of $899.
