Turtle Beach has launched a new wired headset that is officially licensed for PlayStation consoles. It is the Turtle Beach Atlas 200, and it seeks to land at an affordable price point for those looking to save some hard-earned cash.
Not everyone is looking for wireless, so there will always be a category of gamers looking to buy into something like this. The headset is designed to be used with the PS4 and PS5 consoles and sports Turtle Beach’s Nanoclear drivers (50mm) inside. The same drivers that can be found in some of its other models, like the Stealth Pro Headset. In addition to this, it supports PlayStation 5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech audio engine, resulting in an immersive gaming experience.
It offers a floating headband design to help relieve tension atop your head during heavy gaming sessions and offers a weight of just 280 grams. There is also a flip-to-mute microphone that can easily be deployed from the left side, and the headset is friendly for those who wear glasses.
In addition to supporting the PlayStation consoles, the headset should also function with anything that uses a 3.5mm TRRS headset connection. Thus, it should work quite well as a headset for your PC as well, or headphones for your favorite mobile devices.
It comes with an MSRP of $59.99, once again, keeping the price down from some of its heftier wireless models. Making sure to include those not looking to buy into the best of the best, while still maintaining the familiar quality that Turtle Beach has to offer.
The headset is officially available as of today and can be found via Turtle Beach’s website, as well as Amazon, and other certified resellers. It is available in both black and white color options.
