Have you ever wanted to just grab your monitor and carry it around with you like it was some kind of a tablet vs the bulky monstrosity that it is? Have you ever wished that monitor supported touchscreen like some of these laptops do? Well, this might just be your lucky day.
Viotek has announced two new models to their product line, including the new LinQ and LinQ Touch. Both of which offer a compact-style monitor solution that folds up so that you can take it with you with little effort, and then use it wherever you go. To make things better, they are affordable.
The LinQ Portable Monitor is a 15.6″ 1080p IPS monitor that can be used to extend your laptop’s monitor with, consuming minimal desk space compared to a normal monitor. In fact, remove the keyboard from the laptop and put a kickstand on the screen, and you have the LinQ (for the most part).
It weighs only 1.35 lbs and can connect to your laptop (or any other device) via USB-C or HDMI (featuring a mini-HDMI port on the side). If the connected device supports DP ALT-MODE via USB-C, all you will need is a single USB-C cable running to the monitor. For any other device, one of the USB-C ports would be used to run to the wall for power.
It offers built-in speakers, headphone-out and supports AMD FreeSync for all of you gamers out there. That way you can get the most out of your game via PC, Xbox, PlayStation and more. It runs only $169.99 (currently) and is available for purchase right now (shipping next week). For more information, visit the link below.

The LinQ Touch Portable Monitor is a 15.6″ 1080p IPS touchscreen monitor that offers all of the same features as the regular LinQ, with the added support for touch. It offers the same connectivity on the side, the same support for devices, AMD FreeSync, built-in speakers and same profile when it comes to the amount of space it will take up on your desk.
The only difference is that it weighs just a bit more, at a mere 1.7 lbs (0.4lbs heavier) compared to the LinQ. So little sacrifice has been made to bring touch to the mix.
It is also available now, and will only cost you (currently) $229, which isn’t a huge increase over the regular LinQ. For more information, visit the link below.
