Famous for their wide selection of popular models and competitive pricing that allows anyone to jump into a TV, Vizio has announced the launch of this year’s E-Series line-up. The new models improve (as usual) on the previous year’s lineup, and bring with them new features and support.
With things like Dolby Vision HDR, you can bet these will more than likely look amazing paired with a nice Ultra Blu-ray player, or even better, an Xbox One X. Their price tag makes it even easier if you’re still gasping at dumping the money on a new console like that.
Last year we covered a number of their models, including their 2017 edition of their 65-in 4K E-Series XLED TV. Despite not having a tuner built-in, making it a giant monitor more so than a TV, it resulted in a fantastic score from us, which sets our expectations pretty high for this year.
The new models feature Active Full Array with up to 16 local dimming zones for rich blacks, and as mentioned Dolby Vision HDR, which really brings out the detail in your image with bright eye popping colors. They feature Vizio’s 2018 SmartCast OS, with some of your favorite apps built-in (like Netflix, Amazon Video, VUDU and more) as you’d expect, as well as built-in support for Google Chromecast. They also support voice control using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant (this makes for a nice touch if you can’t find the remote).
There are multiple sizes (of course) to choose from, ranging from 43-inches to a massive 80-inch display (the 65-inch to 80-inch models are typically some of our favorites to pick from). All of which are making their way to all of your typical retail outlets both on and offline.
As usual, the pricing on some of these is fantastic. You can get a giant 75-inch 4K screen for only $1,549.99, or a 70-inch for only $1,049.99. It does seem that this is going to be another great year for 4K TV sales.
