Volkswagen (VW) is looking to make some waves when it comes to going head to head with Tesla at releasing a car near the $25K price range. Tesla has been promising that a car like this would be coming for some time now but it has yet to announce anything official. Allowing competitors time to catch up with solutions of their own.
The company released information surrounding its “ID. 2all” vehicle that would cost around $26-27K in the US and offer up to 279 miles of range. Something that would compete well with something like the Model 3 Standard Range model (at a much better price tag). Not only that, but the vehicle would come with all sorts of fascinating options, like the ability to customize some of the dash layouts.

VW is seeking to match the charging capabilities of Superchargers as well, claiming the model would be able to charge up to an 80% charge in 20 minutes or less. Helping to bring an end to the slow-charging experience that has affected so many models coming form there other companies.
Of course, they aren’t there just yet. This is just a concept vehicle that the company is showing off. Thus is still has a way to go before it reaches the market (if at all). However, the company is stating that it wants to reach production by sometime in 2025. So it may be more than just a concept to them, which means it might actually happen.
