Some of the hottest topics right now include energy smart tech and the automated home. New products are popping up all over that offer all sorts of benefits for you home and energy savings. Smart thermostats are one example that have skyrocketed in popularity thanks to their intriguing features and slick design. Some of these thermostats simply connect to your network so you can control them wirelessly and other reach to do more by learning your daily patterns and preferences and adjusting to them accordingly. Ween seeks to do just this by reaching further them some of the alternative choices and adjusting to more than just a basic pattern.
Ween is a startup company based France that understood that the basic learning thermostat can only track daily patterns but doesn’t always respond well to deviations. By connecting to your smartphone, the Ween can detect your presence and respond to it at all times. The second you leave the house, regardless of it’s part of your daily pattern or not, it can respond to this so that you are saving energy at every possible opportunity.
It can also determine how well your home responds to the weather outside and how long it takes to adjust to a comfortable temperature that suits your needs. Basically a smart thermostat that looks at the whole picture including all of the ever-changing variables. Now that sounds like something every home could use.
The temperature can be modified via your smartphone, the internet or manually as well and it comes with a remote controller that connects to the wall-mounted thermostat (replaces your old thermostat). It comes in multiple model designs so that it can best fit in with your living space.
Currently Ween is available for pre-order for € 349 (Euros), which is about $375 US and can be found here. Ween will be a featured honoree for the 2016 CES Innovation Awards, so we look forward to sitting down with them in January and bringing you more.
