Looks like another premonition we scored correctly with on our Holiday Tech Gift Guide, was the Xbox One. Based on raising interests, a $50 slash in price for the larger holiday sales and bundled games; the Xbox One is flying off the shelves and beat out the number of Playstation 4‘s that are trailing at the moment in second place.
Both consoles are a solid purchase this season as they reign as console champions, but Microsoft at least gets to bask in their spotlight of heightened attention this round.
Based on current games and those to come as well as certain software upgrades Microsoft has hinted to (some already launched), there has been an increase in popularity over the last few months. We saw this pattern and leaned towards the Xbox doing slightly better and thus based our guide on such analytics. Now if only we had one in the office here to replace the 360 with for our in-between-article/research entertainment needs.
The final confirmed sales analytics was presented by the research firm, NPD Group.
