XGIMI is back again with a whole new line of projectors to show that nothing will stop it from pushing ahead and toward greater features and performance. Not only do the company’s new projectors promise a list of fascinating enhancements, but they also feature some major design changes. The newly announced models include the new MoGo 3 Pro, Elfin Flip, Aura, and Horizon S Series.
Along with those major design changes, these projectors also have made the move from Android TV to Google TV. Most notably, it brings native support for Netflix, which should be a popular topic among fans (something that Android TV devices just weren’t capable of doing).
The MoGo 3 Pro, falling into its entry-level series, doesn’t hold much back when it comes to being “entry-level”. It focuses on portability, weighing less than 2.5lbs. It’s capable of taking power from a power bank via USB-C, offers a built-in rotating base, 1080p resolution, and all of the popular auto features (focus, keystone, object avoidance, etc) that XGIMI is well-known for. It is priced at $449 or $499 depending on if you get the optional powerbase.
As for the Elfin Flip, it too has a built-in tilting base and (like its predecessor) is designed for indoor use where it can be placed on a shelf, desk, table, or any other surface. It packs a native 1080p resolution and also features all of those wonderful auto-adjustment capabilities. This one falls into a more affordable price point of $399.
The Horizon S Series includes the new Pro and Max, which feature Dual Light 2.0 Technology, combining a tri-color laser and LED for enhanced image performance/quality. Both of these models focus on a higher lumen count than their predecessors, and feature an adjustable stand as well. The Pro is Dolby Vision certified (dynamic contrast of 1000000:1 and 1800 ISO lumens), while the Max is both Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced certified (dynamic contrast of 1000000:1 and 3100 ISO lumens). These models fall into the price range of $1,299 and $1,899.
Then you have their latest in the Aura 4K series, the Aura 2. This is the company’s ultra short-throw series and this new contender offers the new Dual Light 2.0 technology, 2300 ISO Lumens, MAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision certifications, and the ability to project a image of up to 150-inches. It can project to a wall or using XGIMI’s new ALR projection screen. It also features a low latency gaming mode, MEMC for sports, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. It falls into the price point of $2,699.
These projectors and more (including the new MoGo 2 Plus and Halo+ Google TV Projectors) are available from XGIMI’s website and should be making their way to partner retailers in the near future. I’m sure this will spark a whole new round of reviews as well, so we will keep you posting as we learn more.
