We get asked a lot about our gear via just about every platform we exist on, let it be here on our site, on Youtube or one of the many social media options out there. I figured I would take some time out to run the answer through as a story here so that you know where to look for the list of things we like to use the most.
The gear changes up depending if it is something we are shooting on-site (on set) here or when we have a team running around mobile. We are big fans of keeping our footprint small and simple as you can get a lot done with DSLR options, especially when it comes to current models from Panasonic and Sony. With this being said, although both types of shoot scenarios come with different gear, some things remain the same.
So here on set, both on the main set and others, we use our main gear for everything we shoot. Some of it isn’t mobile friendly since we aren’t moving around and can take advantage of better equipment. The list of the most common items we use around the set can be found via the following button:

You find a lot of the lighting we use as well as what drives both audio and video recording. We even mention the cards we use for the cameras, as well as some of the accessories.
As for when we have teams on the go shooting in other locations, we have our mobile kits we use that dumb down the footprint a bit. Although we do use some of the lighting that we use on set that can travel with battery power, we prefer to use some of the smaller options so that we can accomplish things with less crew and less great to have to drag around.

So that breaks everything down between both scenarios. These lists of course will change through time as we swap things out for better lighting as we find other things we like more, or better camera models. But this wraps up the answer to the ever so popular question based on what we use right here and right now.
As time moves forward, we will try to keep that list updated with the things we choose to use the most, so that you always have an answer to work with.
