We have covered smarthome tech many times in reviews and other various articles across many online platforms and magazines. Mentioned many times, are the home controllers by Mi Casa Verde. One of the most open-source and user-friendly brains out there for Z-wave home automation, the VeraLite is available on Amazon right now for only $99 + free shipping. Normally $199 with a sale price of usually $149, this is the best price we have seen on the controller. It can run an entire house with an average number of connected devices (locks, sensors, alarms, outlets, switches, etc). A great gift for the tech geek in your family who may be a new home owner or looking to better the home he or she has. There is no mention on how long the price will last. Hopefully it means Mi Casa Verde is amping things up for something new in the future.
