Another great example of how powerful and useful video doorbells can be. A Las Vegas family experienced an unfortunate dog attack a week before Christmas that could have left the family’s dog and 19-year-old daughter badly hurt. A Ring Video Doorbell, capturing every moment of it. Including when an Amazon delivery driver steps in to save the day.
It all happened when a neighborhood dog approached the residence and the girl. At first, the dog appears to be friendly. However, the situation quickly changed when the family dog stepped outside. The neighborhood dog started attacking and the 19-year-old immediately picked up their dog, trying her best to keep the attacking dog away from harming the smaller animal, failing to find an opportunity to escape without the attacking dog following her.
Out of nowhere, an Amazon delivery driver who witnessed the act going down, quickly steps in to help provide a shield for the girl, allowing her to escape into the house. The driver then breaks off to go back to her truck, yelling “You’re a bad dog!” as she makes her exit.
It’s quite heart-warming to see that someone was willing to step in and help the poor girl. The driver was later identified as Stephanie Lontz. An employee that Amazon, hopefully, gave a big high five to once everything went public–thanks to the video that was captured by the doorbell (available below).
The family was able to track the driver down to fully thank her for being such a heroic individual and potentially saving both the dog and the daughter from harm.
