A smartwatch designed for gamers coming

Smartwatches are becoming a big thing this year as companies all around the world push to deliver their own concept of what a smartwatch should be. One of these is FMTwo Game Inc, who feels that the gaming community lacks a watch themed specially for them. With that in mind, they have been working to deliver Gameband.

Gameband is a smartwatch for gamers that aims to do more than just track your steps. It also features some video game classics on-board, such as Asteroids, Pong, Breakout, Centipede and more. It’s kind of like having an Atari version of Nintendo’s NES Classic, only on your wrist. Currently, they have already prepared a total of 10 games that will role out with it at launch.

Not only that, but they plan to pack it with some great hardware, including a Snapdragon processor, an AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 compatibility as well as a microSD slot for expanding your memory with and/or using it as a storage device that can be accessed by both USB-C and wireless.

With 23 days left in their Kickstarter campaign, they have already nearly tripled their funding goal. It will retail for around $199 and you can currently claim one by supporting them via their campaign page for as little as $149 while early bird slots are still available.
