The sale is on! Amazon has dropped the price of their Kindle Paperwhite to just $84.99, marking the best price it has seen so far (at least for the latest edition/release).
The Kindle Paperwhite has been one of our favorite e-readers to talk about, providing the perfect reading experience and plenty of space to store as many books as you’d like. It feels wonderful to the eyes, leaving you without any eye strain, even with hours worth of reading.
There was only one thing we felt was missing, and that was the ability to be waterproof (which their much more expensive model offered). This would allow you to safely take it pool-side, into the spa, during a relaxing bath or in the shower (if you’ve ever wanted to read in there for some reason). Nothing like the ability to read in the rain.
Then when they released the latest version of the Paperwhite last year, they actually decided to add this feature, making it the best e-reader yet within its price range. Now so, even more at just $85, which makes it a steal.
Of course, the version that is on sale is the “With Special Offers” option, which isn’t much to worry about. We have pointed this out in the past as well as there are very little ads to bother you with. We have yet to ever feel violated or wronged by the few ads that are present (the lock screen that you slide away to access the reader with, and the bottom of the library/home screen). It doesn’t take you long before you forget that they’re even there.
So if you have been planning on getting your hands on a Kindle, this would be one of the best opportunities to pick up their best selling version at its best price yet.
