We covered a couple products by the company behind this new image and both solutions we worked with seemed to work pretty well. Mostly if the source you are streaming to doesn’t offer any wireless capabilities (like your favorite tube-driven stereo you used to listen to back in the day that has been wasting away in storage–until now).
Now, the iEast Box by iEast Digital will soon be on its way, starting with its Indiegogo campaign to raise funding. This new WiFi streaming solution aims to improve on the products of the past by offering high quality sound, streamed from all of your favorite Android or iOS devices (hopefully Windows 10 devices as well, as they will be on the market by then). The new box will feature an onboard ESS ES9023 SABRE DAC processor for crunching out all of the data to the speaker system you have connected to it.
What really makes it interesting, is you will be able to purchase multiple boxes for placement throughout your home or office. Then you can download an app to your Android or iOS device that can be used to connect to them all with. Through that app, you can choose multiple locations so that you can stream to all of the speakers (or systems) at the same time (within range), or pick and choose. You can even split the sound up between boxes. That would make great for house parties and many business environments.
You are able to stream all of your favorite formats to it, including those like FLAC. It also supports your favorite online solutions such as Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and more.
You can make sure to reserve one today at a smaller price by contributing to their Indiegogo campaign. They also have certain campaign goals where each step of the way, they plan on adding new options and features such as a controller and support for various streaming services (Google, Tidal, Soundcloud, etc).
You can find specs, images and a demonstration video below. If we get our hands on one, as always, we will make sure to bring you all the great intel your eyes (or ears) may be looking for.,
