iFi Audio has a new portable USB-C DAC solution for headphones that recently hit the market. It’s the new iFi audio Go Link, and it helps fill in for an entry-level solution that looks to be a bit within the affordable range,
The new USB-C DAC has an MSRP of just $60, making it quite reasonable compared to some of the heavy hitters out there. IT features a simple form factor that is no more than any average USB dongle adapter. It rides between your USB-C playback device (ie, laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc) and your favorite pair of wired headphones. Providing amplified clean audio to your ears.
On board, the iFi Audio Go Link features an ESS Sabre ES9219MQ/Q DAC chip. Supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz (PCM), DSD256, and MQA (Master Quality Audio). Making it pretty well-built for its size and price. Improving upon any audio port your device might have.
As mentioned, its retail price is $60 and it is already available from select retailers, including B&H (button below). It will likely grow to additional retail outlets as it continues to release into the world (ie, Amazon, etc). For now though, it appears to have a limited outlet.
