This is going to be a good Black Friday month for gaming consoles and accessories. A nice relief in a market that has seen a little inflation here and there among consoles, accessories, and VR solutions. Price hikes both small and big have affected most brands and it looks like these companies intend for this to be the new expectation. However, deals are already dropping this month for the Holiday. Including Xbox Series X consoles.
It’s already expected that gaming fans will see discounts during Black Friday, but some of these deals may be more than most would have expected. For example, Dell has already placed the Xbox Series X console on sale for $449 and is throwing in a $75 gift card on top of it. It also has Nintendo Switch (OLED) listed for $349 with the same gift card in addition.
As for accessories, you should see plenty of options on sale this round. This will be especially helpful since Microsoft recently banned the use of any non-licensed third-party accessories (off-brand remotes, custom tournament sticks, accessibility controllers, and more). So there will be a lot of users looking for new controllers this year.
Sales like these put pressure on other retailers as they set a bit of a bar. This may drive some of the others to also drop prices down to a comparable level or offer their own freebie bundles including gift cards or games (or both).
This is a good sign since most sales haven’t even posted yet as it is (normally) too early. Some of them don’t land until Black Friday week (some don’t land until Black Friday day). So it will be interesting to see what kind of great deals will be available this month as it gets closer to that coveted commercial holiday.
