If you are a fan of Bose and are looking for a new soundbar for your TV, you are in luck. Bose has announced a new soundbar called “TV Speaker” (they put a lot of thought into naming that one), and it is ready to pre-order now.
For anyone familiar with Bose, you’d know they specialize in clean crisp sound when it comes to the higher frequencies (like Klipsch and their Tractrix horns). This comes handy when you want to be able to focus on the dialogue within video content. So if you prefer the cleaner footprint that soundbars provide over multi-speaker systems, and are hoping for strong dialogue, these are the top two reasons to jump on this one.
The new speaker is sleek, with a length of just 23.4-inches and 2.2-inches in height (4-inches front to back). Though I’m sure you can’t let its size be deceptive as Bose can typically throw far and loud thanks to those crisp highs.
Inputs on the back are simple and feature the usual, with HDMI (for ARC supported devices), optical, and aux-in (3.5mm). You also get Bluetooth support for connectivity with your mobile devices. There is a USB port that appears to be just for service (firmware updates possibly), and a bass output for an optional Bose sub (Bose Bass Module 500 or Bose Bass Module 700). It does come with an optical cable and a small remote but anything else would be on you to provide.
It’s available now for pre-order (button just below will take you there) for the price of $249.95, and shipping will begin on June 29th.
