Tesla used to have an amazing referral program that allowed owners to refer users looking to buy a Tesla vehicle while also providing these users with a discount and/or other forms of gifts. However, the company temporarily halted it for some time, only giving credits for solar referrals. Now this program has been brought back with some added benefits since it start some weeks ago.
Basically, if you are in the market for a new Tesla vehicle and you are referred by a current owner (here’s a valid referral link), you can gain credits, a discount, and/or 3 free months of FSD (full self-drive). It all depends on what model you are looking for.
Any purchase made through one of these links by the end of the month (June 30th, 2023) would quality. If it is a Model 3 or Model Y, the purchaser would get 1,500 Loot Box Credits that can be exchanged for supercharging credits, vehicle accessories, wall connectors, apparel, and more.
If it is a Model S or a Model X, these rewards grow significantly. Instead of Loot Box credits, the purchaser would gain a $1,000 discount on their vehicle as well as 3 months worth of Full Self-Driving (valued at $200/month). This is in addition to any other national price drops the company has made at the time of purchase or qualified tax credits.
This makes for one of the most prime times (yet) to buy into one of the company’s EVs. Not only are they at some of the lowest prices yet (or in a long time), but the tax incentives are lucrative and you get these additional gifts on top of it all. These gifts also apply to those looking to purchase solar, which would gain the purchaser 9,000 Look Box credits upon activation of their new solar system.
There is no word yet on what will happen to the program after June 30th. Much of this is likely part of Tesla’s push to get rid of old inventory and make way for the new refreshed designs that are coming this year, such as the new Model 3. So you could see prices go back up or referral bonuses come back down (or both). I am sure most owners would prefer if they kept things going as it makes it a lot easier to want to refer others to the brand.
