XGIMI launches new Aura 4K ultra short throw laser projector

XGIMI has been a hot topic as it continuously launches new projector models into the market. A number of these models (like the Halo+) have been focused on mobility, while others are focused on your typical indoor theater experience. The latest, falls into the latter, with the XGIMI Aura 4K ultra-short throw (UST) projector.

This new 4K HDR10 laser projector is designed to live right under the screen/wall and can provide the user with an image of up to 150-inches  (at only 7.2-inches from the screen or wall). It offers up to 2400 ANSI lumens, making sure it provides the right amount of brightness for any room, meaning it should look pretty good even with the lights on.

Like most of XGIMI’s models, it also offers Android TV (10.0) built-in, giving you directly access to all of your favorite TV shows and movies as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection. You should be able to download any of the streaming apps you subscribe to–usually with the exception of Netflix on XGIMI models, which requires you to side-load it using a third-party app store. However, you do get direct access via the normal app store for names like YouTube, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, and more. Along with the ability to cast content wirelessly from your mobile devices as well (from other devices that make use of Chromecast to cast content with).

Also like some of the company’s other models, it features built-in speakers by Harman/Kardon. This includes two 15-watt speakers and two 15-watt subs. It offers support for 3D content, Bluetooth, and more (additional specs can be found below).

The new projector is available now from XGIMI and will likely start making its way to other retailers as well. The MSRP is $2,499.
