Microsoft announced the new Microsoft Band at its #Windows10Devices event in New York City today, featuring a whole new curved design that looks smooth, sleek and should prove to be a lot more comfortable to wear around the wrist.
The new Band features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 surface to help protect against scratches and damage and a nice looking OLED screen beneath. Just like the previous first-gen model, it does support Cortana, allowing you to interest with features like text messages and appointments.
There is also a long list of partnered applications that will support the new Band, including Runkeeper, TaylorMade (golf), Gold’s Gym, Starbucks, Uber, Facebook, Twitter and more.
The new Microsoft Band will ship out later this month on October 30th for $249, a tad higher than the first-generation model and can be pre-ordered starting today.
