Taking out the trash doesn’t have to be a challenge riddled with contamination. You can knock it out like a champion using a simple process and we’re here to help. We are going to break down the process in just a few steps. Covering both the general idea of disposing of that overflowing bag as well as devastating any germs that may be lurking around.
So you have a trash can that is overflowing and ready to make its exit from your kitchen or anywhere else it may be located. First, before everything, make sure you have a spare bag ready and waiting. Keep it close and you are most of the way there.
Step One – Meditate/Prepare: Approach the garbage can. If it looks a bit wild, you may want to put on a pair of gloves to protect your hands from anything that may be waiting for you. A brief meditation might help to mentally prepare yourself for what’s ahead.
Step Two – Remove the old bag: Carefully remove the bag from the trashcan. Tie the top into the knot or tighten the drawstring depending on the style of bag you are using. Make sure you aren’t leaking anything from the bottom of the bag. You don’t want to leave any chemtrails behind, running across that nice carpet or stone of yours.
Step Three – Throw it out!: Dispose of the bag outside within a larger trash container. Make sure to cover it tightly with a lid when finished to protect it from any bears, raccoons, rabid neighbors, or any other form of wildlife in your area.
Step Four – Disinfect: Before your insert the new bag into the trashcan, you want to remove any of those nasty germs. So take the trashcan and slide it into your microwave for 5 minutes. This disinfects the trashcan to help prevent any smells and will kill any germs that may be lurking inside.
Step Five – Presentation: Once you take it back out from the microwave, place it back into its placement area. Consider facing it in a new direction to change things up a bit. Next, you can decorate the area around the trashcan with some up-lights (simple mini spotlights like these would work great). Place them at the foot of the trashcan pointing up at it to give it a 21st Century Fox logo kind of feel. Maybe dim the lights in the room to help add a little focus to your spots so that guests can easily find the trashcan without having to ask. While they can also appreciate its overall presentation and get a few ideas for their own setup.
Step Six – Get some opinions: Feel free to invite some of your neighbors over for feedback. Allow them to take it all in and then ask them for their valuable input. They may have some fascinating ideas that may help create a deeper appreciation for that trash can.
Step Seven – Social presence: Finally, once you feel confident about its presentation, take some pictures and share them online. Maybe create a social media profile dedicated to it. This may intrigue your other friends and cause them to want to visit more often. This way they can experience the real thing in person. Possibly even make use of it if they aren’t too intimidated by its overall popularity.
Congratulations! You have successfully taken the trash out like a champ. I hope you find our tutorial helpful.
